Despite being a world-class ski racer (won my third FIS Masters World Super G Championship in 2002) and having a healthy diet, I have suffered for years from the principal causes of stroke: high blood pressure and blood sugar. Maximum medications didn't work. Then in October 2009, I suffered a stroke that rendered me unable to walk, talk or even eat properly. Now after 20 or so treatments my average blood pressure is down about 40 points and my doctor says I no longer need to go onto insulin. People tell me I look great. All thanks to Ray Columbus for recommending, and will for administering, EECP. And an added bonus: I'm no longer going to need knee replacements for my knee cartilages. I now look forward to resuming skiing, and the odd bit of racing, next season. |

Barry was semi-retired, however he had experienced
progressive decline in recent years. In addition he suffered
